Turkey forms a bridge between two continents and symbolically connects the traditions, different cultures and ways of life of Europe and Asia. Most of Turkey lies on Anatolia (the peninsula of the Asian Continent), only a very little part of its total area called Trakya is part of the continent of Europe (approximately 23 sq km out of 780 sq km).

The Bosporus or Bosphorus is a strait that separates the European part of Turkey from its Asian part connecting the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea.

The Dardanelles is a narrow strait in northwestern Turkey connecting the Aegean Sea to the Sea of Marmara. Like the Bosporus, The Dardanelles divides Europe from Asia Minor.

Perge is another ancient city worth visiting. Perge belongs to the first cities, where Christianity had been accepted. There are wonderful ancient columns, an amphitheatre, a spa… In former times Perge had been used as a port which is surprising, because Perge doesn’t lie immediately at the seaside. Ship way had been removed.
