Victoria Falls Bridge (click for more information)
The bungee jump here is a little mad but it is the highest commercial jump you can enjoy in the world. The bridge is on no man’s land in between Zambia and Zimbabwe but no exit procedure is needed when you tell the border guards that you are just going to jump.

Why to visit Zambia

If you take a look on the map of Africa, Zambia looks like a little butterfly that shows its beauty only when its wings are spread. If you are a daredevil and you would like to try something really genuine and extraordinary, visit Zambia. The home of Victoria Falls, beautiful nature, picturesque wetlands with uncountable lakes and dangerous river Zambezi, untouched wilderness awaits you so pack your things carefully and book a ticket.

Climate

The altitude causes the climate to be more temperate then tropical with three separate seasons: dry, hot and wet. The weather is quite fine in any of them but best for visits is the hot season because the vegetation is at its blooming peak so the safari or bird watching is more eye-catching.

Safety

When visiting Zambia you must pay great attention to suitable and effective vaccination against many infective diseases as yellow fever, typhoid, malaria or cholera. HIV/AIDS is also quite common so awareness combined with appropriate precautions might really pay off.

It is also recommended to go to borders with Angola and Democratic Republic Congo as armed struggles are possible and there is high risk of stepping on a landmine.

Society

There are 73 different dialects spoken in Zambia but the official language is English. English is quite commonly spoken. People are friendly and helpful. One of the specialties of Zambian society is religion: it is estimated that 50 up to 75% of population are followers of Christianity and about the same ratio worships indigenous beliefs. Most of the people profess both.

Why to go here?

Zambia often proclaims itself as the “real Africa” and there is no question about this. Unbelievable safari in pure wilderness, striking Victoria Falls, adrenaline drafting on white waters of Zambezi, horseback riding and many other activities will make your time in Zambia plentiful and interesting.
