Although Brazil covers vast area and Indians are its cultural treasure, there are some conflicts between non-Indian and Indian people. Indians are also concerned in Brazilian music with their flutes. The music of Brazil is sometimes wild, sometimes full of passion and sometimes full of joy. Another big part of Brazilian culture is sport. The most important Brazilian sport is football. There exists lots of football clubs and in larger cities even more than one.

Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro means „River of January“, because this city was discovered in January by Portuguese navigators. It is one of the most beautiful cities on the Earth and it was the capital city of Brazil from 18th century to 1960. Rio is famous for its carnival celebrations (roots of carnivals can be found here), which are held usually in February or March, 40 days before Easter – this season is called Lent. The best-known attractions in Rio are the Copacabana beach, the Corcovado mountain with statue of Jesus Christ, national park Tijuca and many other interesting sights.

Nature

Brazilian nature is one of the masterpieces of Mother Nature, who was very generous. Rain forests, jungles, wild animals, rivers, waterfalls are dominant here. So, this country offers many different ecosystems. What is very interesting, is the fact, that you can find unique plants and animals, which can not be found anywhere else.
