French Polynesia: Hiva Oa - island

 An island famous especially because the painter Paul Gauguin lived here and is also burried here. You can visit the house he stayed in - the „House of pleasure“ - or Gauguin Museum which desplays items related to the artist and also copies of his paintings and wood engravings.
