Albania: National Park Butrinti

National Park Butrinti is considered to be one of the last places in eastern part of Mediterranean, where unpolluted nature and well preserved cultural sites can still be found. Because of archaeological discoveries, it is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the first site in Albania to be on the list. National Park Butrinti is surrounded by wetlands and including hills, woods, river and lake, which together form a very important ecosystem.
