The Danish national flag (called Dannebrog – it means the red cloth) is considered as one of the oldest permanent used national flags of whole world. One legend says that the flag was created during the battle of the king Valdemar II. against the Estonian in 1209. In commemoration of this event the Danish celebrate every year on 15th June the Day of Dannebrog.
